No Reason

24 Oct

there is no explanation for my pride
no logical reason behind tha luv for this soil
have you ever felt tha warmth of a mothers smile?
the upliftin feelin inside wen u c a newborn child?

it is more than the language and the food
more than the dance-beat or the obsidian skin
tis something beyond a social-cultural thing
tis a divine feelin that cannot be understood.

I enjoy experiencing the wonder and beauty, culture and cuisine of other lands, but there is nowhere I love more than my homeland. There’s no obvious reason, it just is. I like that and I like that you have said it so much better than me.

There is a pulsing to this this wonderful, appropriately pride-filled poem that made me experience her beauty.
