Nothin’ Mo’

10 Oct

ur presence is mo valuable than
any present
4get how much cash you say
you spent
aint nothin in this world can match ur
natural essence
not even that nice note attached to that
exquisite  gucci watch inscribed with gems stones from
the gold coast
I’d rather have ur warm soft palms instead of rolex watch straps
wrapped around ma long ebony arms
No words no mattah how suave can make my heart skip
syncretic beats
only a mild kiss on ma sun-roughed cheeks by ur smooth
curvy convex lips can achieve that
marvelous magic trick
Don’t get me wrong oh be-you-t-full swit
wonderful oasis spring
lost n found ebony rib
my most precious blessing
Mi luvs how u meticulously choose the swit gifts
to get I ur paprika prince
but I’d rather have you for a minute than
in your absence
receive nice gifts foreva eternally.
Like steel
gifts lack the spirit & warmth that heats up the
life flowin withn ma bloodstream
Ur smile
how u carelessly trip over ma large elongated feet
u being so notoriously silly even in public
Thats wat I need
thats wat makes I & I heart tick
wat makes I wanna breath in deeply
U once asked wat it is that I & I want
now u know
Nothing mo’.

I’m blown away by how you achieve your unique voice, how you present yourself in your words as clearly as a photograph wrapping that image with the feelings of your heart and the love that springs from it. That is a lot for a poem to do and you manage it minimally and with such ease! Exquisite!!

much much appreciated. words can never do proper justice to tha vibrations of tha heart, yet we poets must try n capture an iota of that untranslatable language.

What an incredible voice! Presence is what is most important. I could not agree more.
